After hearing a rumor that made my heart jump, I decided it'd be best if I actually found out first hand before spreading the good news!(for some)
Cornerback Boubacar Cissoko was dismissed from The University of Michigan's football team mid season last year, after making his Sophomore debut as a starter for the Wolverines. Coming out of high school, Cissoko was the 3rd best cornerback, with a 5 star position rating. However, after violating team rules, the kid was dismissed from the team MID SEASON!
Now, rumor mill had it that Cissoko would be transferring(or at least attempting) to Grand Valley State University. A very successful D-II program. However this didn't pan out for him, because apparently he's in more legal trouble than we know. From a marketing standpoint, Boubacar's future doesn't look promising....

Hall of Famer Pours It On
No. 4 Syracuse, a famous participant and winner of the epic 6 overtime game between the Orangemen and the Huskies of Connecticut a year ago, were back at it again. However this time, they're come from behind win over fellow Big East competitor Georgetown(No. 11), was kept in the parameters of regulation but would be overshadowed by a storied career.
Coach Jim Boeheim achieved his 819th career win, passing current coaching legend Jim Calhoun(Connecticut) for sixth all time in Division 1. Coach Boeheim's 34 year career is marked with an astonishing 32 20+ win seasons, with 25 tournament appearances as well as 1 National Championship. And did I mention it was his alma mater? To this day, Boeheim is one of the very rare individuals who has spent their entire college basketball career, from player to assistant coach to head coach, at one university.
Congrats, Coach!

Meet Me
Hey all!
First of all, I'd like to welcome you to my blog. My name is Hunter, and, as the title states, this blog involves the sports world and its current events, as well as commonly applied principles and processes concerning marketing techniques. I'm from the great mitten state of Michigan, and I'm a junior in college.
For my blog, I chose to follow major websites such as ESPN.com, CBSSportsline.com, SI.com, CNN.com, as well as more specific websites like Mashable.com that follow updates on Social Media Marketing. I also decided to follow updates on other blogs from iconic figures like Mark Cuban and Jalen Rose.
I'm a huge college football fan, more specifically the University of Michigan, and my love for college football has led me to be a strong supporter of most NCAA athletics. I prefer NCAA athletics over professional, and my reasons will hopefully be revealed through my posts. I chose to follow the websites named above because I believe not only will they inform me about the goings on in collegiate athletics, but also what's happening with professional sports. Who knows, maybe it will alter my opinion as well as the occasional readers opinion as well!
